VPN for Airtel: slow video and the settings files

Settings files promise free data. Buffering has duller causes and duller fixes.

VPN for Airtel: slow video and the settings files

What the settings files are

Search results for this topic are full of pages offering "settings" for tunnel apps on a particular operator: configuration files you import into an old-style injector app so it connects in a certain way. Their usual aim is to get online without paying for data, by relying on how an operator bills certain traffic. That is a different business from ours, and we do not publish, support or recommend any such file.

There is a practical reason to stay away beyond the terms of your SIM plan. These files come from strangers, they stop working whenever the operator changes something, and the app that loads them can see all your traffic. A key you get from a service you can contact is a plainer deal.

If your actual problem is video that stalls

Buffering on a mobile network usually has an ordinary explanation, and the checks are cheap. Work through them in this order, because each rules out something before the next.

Signal first: indoors, in a basement or at the edge of a tower's range, video stalls however fast the plan is. Then time of day: evening is when a crowd streams at once, and a sector of the network fills up. Then the phone itself: a full storage card, a battery saver that throttles background data, an old app version. Last, the server on the other side, which may simply be slow.

Things to try before blaming the operator

  1. Move to a window or step outdoors and play the same video again.

  2. Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi, or the reverse, and compare.

  3. Lower the video quality one step and see if playback evens out.

  4. Turn off battery saver for the video app.

  5. Restart the phone, then try again at a different hour.

  6. If all of that fails, then try a tunnel and compare.

What a tunnel can change on an Airtel line

It can change the route from your operator to the video's servers. Sometimes your operator's default path is poor at that hour and another one, through one of the servers in Manchester, Madrid, Singapore, Abu Dhabi or Toronto, behaves differently. Sometimes it is the same or worse, because the tunnel adds a stop. We publish no speed figures and cannot tell you which outcome you will see, so the method is to compare with and without.

A tunnel also keeps a Wi-Fi owner from reading your traffic, which matters on a shared network more than on your own SIM. It does not make mobile data cheaper or faster, and no server is located in India.

Getting a key from the bot

Ask the Telegram bot for a key and the VLESS link comes back in roughly a minute, with no account or email. Put it into Happ, Hiddify, V2Box or v2rayNG, choose a server and connect. The first 10 days cost nothing, and later periods are paid for in the bot with crypto, not by card.

A note on the page itself

The checks above are ones you can run without us - signal, hour, quality, battery settings - because keys are what the service sells. Operator terms and local rules differ and change, and you answer for the terms of your own plan.

Questions and answers

Programme

Do you provide settings for Airtel?

No. Importing a settings file is a different method from the key the bot issues.

Why does video stall in the evening?

Crowds share the network at once, so a cell or a backbone link fills up. A tunnel does not remove that.

Does the tunnel use extra mobile data?

It adds a little overhead for the encrypted wrapper. We publish no figure, so watch your own usage.

Which server should I try first?

Any of the five. Compare by playing the same video, since we do not rank locations by closeness or speed.

Will a tunnel make my plan unlimited?

No. Your operator's plan decides your data. The service's own traffic is unlimited, which is a separate matter.

Can I use the same key on a second SIM or phone?

Yes. One link has no device limit, so any device you own can use it.
