A five-minute check, in this order
Play the same video twice on mobile data without any tunnel and note whether it stalls at the same moment.
Move a few steps, near a window or outdoors, and try again. If the picture improves, the signal was the cause.
Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi, or the other way round, to see which side is weaker.
Close other apps, restart the phone and clear the video app's cache.
Only now connect to a server and play the same video again.
Where the VPN sits in the chain
Your video travels from the streaming company to your operator's network and then over the air to your phone. With a tunnel on, it goes from the company to our server, then to your operator, then to you. The extra stop is the price of the tunnel. If the direct road is congested at certain hours, a different route can sometimes smooth it out; if the direct road is fine, the extra stop only adds delay.
We have no speed measurements for Jio, Airtel or any server, so we do not rank locations for you. The server list has five places: Manchester, Madrid, Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Toronto. Try two of them for the same few minutes of video and keep whichever behaves better on your line.
What the tunnel cannot repair
It cannot add signal where the tower is far, and it cannot lift a plan that has slowed down after a daily allowance. It does not give you an Indian address either, because the servers are all abroad; services that work only inside India may refuse a foreign address.
It is also no route to content that is locked for legal or licensing reasons in your area; each service's terms still apply to you.
Habits that keep a stream steady
Connect the tunnel before you open the video app, not in the middle of a film, because a reconnect pauses everything. Leave the phone's battery saver off while you watch, since some phones put background connections to sleep. Download for offline viewing when the app allows it and your commute passes through a dead spot.
The sub-pages here look at particular operators and places: Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL, Kashmir and Jammu, and college, office and public Wi-Fi.
Before you trust this checklist
The site you are reading also offers a key, so the order of checks above is there for you to run without us. Drafting leaned on an AI model, and editors compared the page with the service facts.
A stall that survives every item above is worth a message to support in the bot, with the client name and the exact error text.
